"I founded GothicSage originally to publish some of my research
and theories concerning the Gothic people.
I got fascinated by the ancient Gothic and
decided to write a song in this extinct language. Since the
Lord's prayer was one of the most famous Gothic texts, I felt it
was appropriate to use this text as lyrics for my song:
Atta Unsar.
In the process, I think I created
something pretty unique - a blend of Alternative Rock and an
Old World sound that has some unique musical textures and
strokes. The tune wants to connect with a deep part of the
soul.
That likely because
"Atta Unsar" tries to hitch the words and sounds of a world past and present.
Musically, Atta Unsar incorporates the
indigenous spirit
of an ancient world into the Alternative Rock /World music
genre of the
21st century."
